FORUM FOCUS:

DISCOVERING HIDDEN SPACES IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND HEALTHCARE

PART ONE | DINING ROOM 3

2:00PM—3:00PM

Attendees are pre-grouped in cross-disciplinary tables, mix of the six stakeholders and 10 ‘spaces’ asking the following question:

“What does a breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence + Health look like in 10 years? Why?”

2:00PM—2:10PM

Attendees are asked to individually brainstorm on those ideas, and write their best one down in a format sheet given to them.

2:10PM—3:00PM

Discussion is then conducted in pre-assigned multi-stakeholder tables:

Attendees are asked to present their individual ideas to their table, as well as 5 extra spaces filtered by the Proto Ventures team to consider.

Attendees are tasked with forming/writing their opinion on each evaluated idea (in a provided format) and to pick the best breakthrough ideas or hidden spaces from each table to share with everyone else in the forum.

A desired top written idea should include:

  • What is the breakthrough AI & Health product/service?
  • How does a patient, clinician, insurance and/or other stakeholders benefit directly from it?
  • Who will pay for it and how?
  • What has to be done to prove this works?
  • What is the clearest exit strategy of a venture pursuing this?

Report sheets are handed over the Forum staff.

3:00PM—3:15PM

Coffee Break

EXTENDED TABLE IDEA “REPORT OUT” WITH MODERATED DISCUSSION

PART TWO | DINING ROOM 3

3:10PM—4:00PM

In part two, we will swap and verify hidden spaces. Same tables are then given the top concept of another table and ask to verify it in depth.

3:10PM—4:00PM

Each table reports out on their top idea and moderates a discussion with other tables (verbal Q&A format). Report sheets are handed to each attendee to write any other comments or thoughts not generated during the Q&A. We really want attendees to teach us how to pick prime ideas in AI and health.

  • Discussions (Q&A) topics should try to touch on the following:
  • What assumptions did the reporting table make in order for this idea to work?
  • What would need to be true for this idea to work? (policy, tech, data, funding, etc.)
  • Anything that could refine the original idea in order to accelerate the implementation/deployment/etc.?

Report sheets are handed over the forum staff
